Dr Peter Weill is Chairman of the MIT Center for Information Systems Research, which works with companies
on how to digitally transform for success. He has worked on digitisation issues with the Executive
Committees and Boards of more than 40 companies globally. As an in-demand keynote speaker on digital
ecosystems, we’re pleased to welcome him to Curious Thinkers.
Rob Hale

In 2020, Rob led Regional Australia Bank to become the first Accredited Data Recipient and the first
Australian bank to both publish and consume CDR data. He is a current member of the Australian Consumer
Data Right (CDR) Banking Advisory Committee, an active member of the customer-owned banking sector and
is passionate about technology partnerships with Fintechs.

King & Wood Mallesons
Scott Farrell is a senior partner of King & Wood Mallesons with more than 20 years’ experience in
financial markets, financial systems and financial technology law. He has chaired the Australian
Government’s FinTech Advisory Group led the two inquiries for the Australian Government which designed,
and developed, the framework for Australia’s Consumer Data Right.
Alastair MacGibbon

Alastair leads a workforce of 700 cyber security professionals with a national footprint of 20 offices
across Australia. He was recently the National Cyber Security Adviser, head of the Australian Cyber
Security Centre and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Cyber Security and has previously had
high-profile roles with Australian Federal Police and eBay.
Travis Tyler

first smartbank. Travis’s passion for the customer and working at the digital edge positioned him well

As Head of Payment Partnerships and Industry Relations for Square Australia, Samina works with payment
partners and the industry to deliver seller solutions that help them to start, build and grow their
business. Throughout her career, Samina has worked in financial services including the global payments
network Visa, Cuscal and General Motors Financial Services’ arm in the UK and Australia.

Westpac
Di, General Manager – GTS started with Westpac in 2017. She is responsible for the Global Transaction
Services business, payments and bank as a service business. Prior to joining the Westpac Group, Di was
the Managing Director Asia Head of Transaction Services for JP Morgan Asia Pacific and Managing Director
COO of Global Transactions Services for Citi in Hong Kong.
