Open Banking will be introduced in phases. On 1 July 2019 the Big Four Banks (ANZ, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, NAB and Westpac) will provide access to product data for credit and debit cards, deposit accounts and transaction accounts. Other banks that choose to be reciprocal data recipients at this time will have to make the same information available, otherwise their obligations will commence by no later than 1 February 2020.
Access to additional product data will progressively be made available. For the latest implementation timeline, visit The Treasury.
