What is an outsourced service provider?

The Competition and Consumer (CDR) Rules 2020 defines outsourced service provider as a person to whom an accredited person discloses CDR data under a CDR outsourcing arrangement. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is currently engaging with the Treasury to resolve legal uncertainties identified regarding the expansion of outsourcing rules.

For more on the outsourced service providers, refer to Subdiv 1.3, rule 1.10 of the CDR rules.
