What is a Consumer Data Right intermediary?

Intermediaries are third-party service providers who collect or facilitate the collection of Consumer Data Right (CDR) data on behalf of accredited persons. Under the draft CDR rules, third-parties can collect and/or use and disclose CDR data on behalf of another accredited person under a ‘combined accredited person’ (CAP) arrangement. Both parties to the CAP arrangement must be accredited to the ‘unrestricted’ level.
